E-Waste Recycling Weekend

Ready to clear out that growing pile of old electronics? E-Waste Recycling Weekend is your chance to safely and responsibly get rid of unwanted electronics from your home, garage, or office.

The Orange Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, in partnership with ATTAN Recycling Corp., is hosting this community recycling event and welcoming residents and businesses to bring their unwanted electronic items for recycling.

From old TVs and computer monitors to laptops, printers, phones, networking equipment, entertainment systems, and more, there’s a good chance that the electronics taking up valuable space can be recycled. There is no limit on the number of items you can bring.

What Can You Recycle?

Accepted items include:

• TVs, LCD screens, monitors, flat screens, and plasmas
• Laptops, PCs, printers, copiers, and scanners
• Toner and printer cartridges
• Power supplies and networking equipment
• Entertainment systems
• Landline and cell phones
• Small portable electronic devices
• Car and forklift batteries
• And many other electronics with a cord or circuit board

Major Appliances & Bulky Items

Most accepted electronics can be recycled free of charge. Service charges apply to select bulky items and major appliances:

• $10: Microwaves and cooling units, including water dispensers, air conditioners, personal refrigerators, wine coolers, and mini freezers
• $20: Water heaters, freezers, and exercise equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bicycles, and rowing machines
• $30: Washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, and similar appliances
• $40: Standard refrigerators (2–3 doors)

Fax machines are accepted free of charge.

Please note: light bulbs and household batteries are not accepted.
